The Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club owns and operates the 147.180 repeater in Wilmington.  The repeater provides current data to the repeater and the New Hanover County ARES Weather Page

The repeater consists of the following components:

The repeater transmits a CTCSS tone of 88.5 hz at all times allowing hams with tone-squelch boards the opportunity to eliminate intermod problems often experienced in today's RF rich environment.  If needed tone access (88.5 hz) can be turned on to eliminate interference to the repeater however it is normally not used. 

AUTOPATCH:
When accessing autopatch, audio must be present each time the transmitter is keyed, to turn on touch tone decoder.

PROCEDURE FOR USING STANDARD AUTOPATCH:
To use the standard autopatch, KEY-UP, identify, and enter * and all tones at same time.

EXAMPLE:

KEY-UP AC4RC accessing autopatch  *5551111 UN-KEY

If you do not want the phone number announced over the repeater, "click" the mike once IMMEDIATELY after the "AUTOPATCH UP" is announced. The standard autopatch timeout is 10 minutes. The patch activity timer is 60 seconds. This means you must click your mike at least once each 60 seconds and that you can not talk longer than 60 seconds without un-keying. The # key will end the patch. Please remember to identify your call before using the patch and after ending the patch.  If the repeater says the autopatch is in use, the phone line is busy transmitting weather data.  Wait about three minutes and try again.

This is an amateur repeater and as such please use only for appropriate conversations.

PROCEDURE FOR USING EMERGENCY AND STANDARD AUTODIALER:
KEY-UP, identify, enter emergency or standard autodialer slot number.

EXAMPLE:

KEY-UP and say YOUR-CALL accessing emergency patch, enter DTMF  911 UNKEY
The controller voice read back the identification assigned to the speed dial location.

AUTOPATCH LAST NUMBER REDIAL:
*      
1 EXTEND PATCH (adds 10 minutes to patch) enter anytime, the repeater will announce
        "AUTOPATCH TIMER RESET " prior to timeout of autopatch.
**     REDIAL LAST PHONE NUMBER (with in 10 minutes)

TIME OF DAY REQUEST:
KEY-UP,  identify and enter 400 on your DTMF pad.

Example:

KEY-UP and say YOUR-CALL then enter 400.  The repeater will then give the current time.

DTMF KEY-PAD TEST:
KEY-UP AND IDENTIFY THEN ENTER DTMF PAD TEST CODE 375

EXAMPLE:

KEY-UP and say YOUR-CALL 375 12345 repeater will say one-two-three-four-five in voice
The touch tone "D" can not be tested.

AUDIO CHECK:
The repeater has a Digital voice Recorder. Key-up enter 725* un-key. Key-up after prompt and talk normal for up to 15 seconds. Un-key and listen to the recording. 

WEATHER REPORT:
Enter DTMF 299 (2WX) and the repeater will provide current conditions at the repeater site. Wind speed, wind direction, temperature and rain fall since midnight.
