Suggested Format and Script for Net Control

This is   (call sign) calling the Azalea Coast Amateur Radio Club Ragchew Net. This net meets every Monday Night at 8:00 PM local time and all amateur radio operators are welcome to participate. The purpose of the net is to be of assistance in case of emergency, inform local amateurs of up coming events, handle net and club business, and to provide an opportunity for some ragchew. My name is __________, my call sign is __________, and I will be serving as net control tonight.

This is  (call sign) now standing by for any emergency or priority traffic. Anyone having such traffic please call net control now. *****

This is  (call sign) now standing by for announcements, bulletins, club or net business. Anyone having such traffic please call net control now. *****

This is (Call sign) now calling for stations to check in by the first letter of your call suffix. All stations checking in should give the net control call sign ________, followed by your own, your first name. After taking all check-ins, Net Control will call each station and ask for any comments or ragchew.

Now we will take check-ins

All stations Alpha through Golf please call __________***

All stations Alpha through November please call __________***

All stations Alpha through Tango please call __________***

All stations Alpha through Zulu please call __________***

Any late check-ins please call _________***

NOTE (Record each check-in on the log sheet. Handle emergency traffic first, after each group of regular and late check-in, recognize each station by call, name and location)

(Net Control now calls each station in order of check-in, for any comments or ragchew)

(Any one talking to a specific station should be asked to move (qsy) to another frequency if taking up too much time)

(Periodically ask for any late check-ins. Add each check-in to the log. Continue to call stations in the order listed in the log.)
