February 2006 11 VEC testing at UNCW 10 AM , Morton Hall. 21 Monthly club Dinner meeting will be at McDaniel's Restaurant on College Road. 26 The NC QSO Party is this Sunday. The Party from Radio Central on the Battleship North Carolina. Noon till we have to leave the Ship. ??5:00PM?? Please let me Bill AG4PA know if you plan to participate. So far we only have 4. Some folks like to work the contest from the Ship for a while and then continue from their home stations until the end, 10:00PM local. March 2006

8 9 We are also considering putting the Ship on the amateur airwaves on April 9th, also a Sunday, the 65th anniversary of Her commissioning. Likewise, please let me know if you are interested. - The serious underlying purpose of the activity, however, does not
preclude the members from having fun: socializing, enjoying good
fellowship along with some good food, honing communications skills, or
otherwise having fun. Please plan to turn out and share both the serious
and not so serious aspects of the activity.

Farms Restaurant on College Road opposite UNCW. Dave Wicker--N4JDW--
will provide a discussion of the repeater linking system between
Wilmington and points West. We'll also look at some QSL cards that are
still rolling in from recent Club Special Event activities.
